Re: Some folks support the VETS
I'm laughing a bit at my own amazement of those who spout facts in some of the oddest places where non are really necessary to begin with. I envision it as sort of a "Debbie Downer" effect. You know, like someone showing up to a funeral and making an an announcement at the podium there that the coroner officially ruled that the person was dead. In such cases facts are not all that important to most and the messaging intent is lost. Oh, well, someone has to play the part of Captain Obvious, I suppose. :-)
Me, I am not going to worry a bit over any flag code failure, as the intent was fully appreciated by me as a VietNam era vet. My wife was just as appreciative of the lady's thoughtfulness as I and that alone made me one happy fellow, for sure. God bless her for making my day a whole lot brighter by her selfless act of kindness and hopefully she continues her spirit of giving to make the day of a whole lot of others who are much more deserving than myself.
God bless those here who are trying to get this thread back to the norm of just enjoying our sport and not taking life all too seriously over "facts" and their need to be explained at all times. :-)
I have a date with a hinge pin later today to get my truck mirror installed and to be done with it. I am just hoping that the shade tree outside can overcome the heat and the humidity were I can have fun in doing something that I truly enjoy. Unfortunately, my wife has some "Honey Do" projects for me which may take ultimate priority over me having such fun.... and that is sadly is indeed a fact :-)
