Default 1934 ford pick-up, 3 speed

Will a 1939-1948 open drive 3 speed transmission bolt up to 1st generation flathead with bellhousing part of motor? Thanks -Mikebell.

Yes, those year transmissions will bolt up to the early generation '32-'48 (except 48 pu with first 8ba's) FH's with 1/2 bell cast as part of block. Depending on what you put this combo into, you may have to do something in the area of the rear transmission mount for that to bolt up.

-just curious as to which rear axle you will be using or are you converting the original to open drive . Just remember the later 48 and on open drive pickup axle is something like 3 1/4 wider then the 34.

1932-'34 is 57 and 3/4
- 1935-'41 is 59 and a half

. . . and '48 is 61 inches.
