Not sure from your post what you are looking for. If it is a 6 volt pump I installed an Airtex years ago and am happy with it.
Airtex electric pump E8902 Available at most auto parts stores. I have an on/off switch and use only when needed. |

That the one I need for my 39 6 volts. My 35 has been converted to 12 volts years ago. I want to put a electric fuel pump on it also.

For 12 volt: Airtex E8016S. 2.5 - 4.0 psi so would need a pressure regulator. Available here: http://www.amazon.com/Airtex-E8016S-.../dp/B000C1LW0E

I just went to Advance Auto Parts and got two pumps one 12 volts and one 6 volts. I want to thank you for your help. Cost was 90.08 for both of them including tax. Now the work begins.

On the 12 volts pump I only use it when the flathead vapor locks then turn it off. Its hot here today so I am going to clean and polish the 35 Pickup

Wick, I believe you can hook it up either way as it has a terminal marked +and-.
However, you can email the sales rep, Shane Newman. He knows old car stuff. [email protected] That way you will have it in writing. |

Yes. Just be sure to ground the positive lead on the pump and connect the negative lead to the source of your current.
Here, in my installation, the tan is the positive lead and is grounded. The black is the negative lead and is fed through a switch. ![]() You also might want to install a small LED indicator light to remind you the pump is on if you are just using it intermittently to remind you to turn it off when you don't need it any more.
