The distance from the 12 bolt surface of the wheel to the clutch surface is supposed to be 1.123 - of course if the clutch surface has been surfaced and the 12 bolt surface has been machined the same amount it won't tell you if it's been machined, just tell you that's what it's supposed to be. Walt

simple solution . buy the retainer ring from a ford vendor & buy the correct bolts . yes you can shave off the top of the bolts as I have also . be sure you are correct b 4 you put it together .

Yup, and easy enough to check with the clutch disc you'll be using.

You can usually buy a good flywheel at a swap meet for $5.

My guess is your flywheel has been resurfaced too much. I wouldn't use it.

Just my guess/opinion
