Using distilled water and pump lube, what do you use for rust prevention?

You have a good chance of boiling over with water. Yesterday my gauge went to 230dges, very hot day 95 degs.I have 50/50 antifreeze.

I use Prestone Super Radiator ANTI-RUST with distilled water. It doesn't
mention any lubricating qualities but it does say that it can be added,
and is compatible with conventional and Dex-Cool antifreezes.

Did you notice any before and after effects on cooling?

Fourdy, Before the heated garage, I used Prestone Year Round antifreeze.
It would run at 170 to 180 degrees F., and about 190 or so going uphill on a hot day. With this concoction, it runs about 10 deg. cooler on a comparable day. The block and radiator stay clean. I also use 160 deg. thermostats. Ken
