Default 215/223/262 head ??

I have 2 ford 215/223/262 inline 6 heads (there no good). One has a small oval shaped combustion chamber and one has a triangle shaped one . I want another small chamber head but don't know just what year they made them or which engine they came off of . I would like to narrow down my search by what year to look for. HELP!!!!

this may not be much help but, the 223 I had was a later model [1964]. the valve cover was attached buy perimeter bolts around the edge. The earlier model heads off 223 had the valve cover attached with just two center bolts. I'm sure there are other differences but this was always an obvious one for me. Hope this helps narrow it down for you.

Looking at the pictures at this link it seems like they changed about 1960-ish, depending if it was a car or truck engine.
