Check with Egge.com. You may have to call them. They used to show just about all the parts for a complete rebuild on the 226 but all they are showing online now is the V-8.

I got a .30 over piston for mine from them a few years ago without a problem.

I just checked and they are still showing a rebuild kit in their catalog that you can download. Beware it is nearly 400MB so it takes a few minutes to download even with pretty decent download speeds.

The first person I would check with is Fred Wilner at Southside Obsolete in Faribault MN. He specializes in NOS Ford engine parts. The drawback to Macs and Dennis Carpenter, from my experience is they are selling imported stuff, as most of the NOS is gone. Another alternative is Tom Hannaford, Then & Now Automotive in Weymouth MA.

I got my rod and main bearings and cam bushings from NAPA. Joblot Automotive is a good source. Fred Wilner at Southside Obsolete is a good source, also. Mac Van Pelt has a few parts. Perfect Engine in Los Angles has some parts. Skip Haney in Florida can rebuild your old water pump. Rods and mains are available from Federal-Mogul, Federal-Mogul cam bushings # 1089M, Steel piston rings are available from Hastings, Fel-Pro gasket set # FS7524S. In the process of rebuilding one right now for '48 Tudor.

It's been about 15 years ago, but I got all my rebuild parts for my '51 6 cylinder from Kanter. The old stock parts came in the original boxes. No Chinese junk!!

Everything I've heard is that you have to get your WP rebuilt, several places doing it.
