I had a friend in high school who had a '50 Merc 4-door. I still remember how quiet and smooth it was compared to our lowly Fords. |

When I was in my teens (a long time ago) one of my best friends had an everyday driver 51 Merc 4 door. He went everywhere with that car, must have turned the speedo around twice. I can remember going with him on a lot of local trips. Good times.
