As I've said in another thread, I inherited a very nice 1934 Ford from my wife's grandfather. I'm trying to maintain it and keep it running as good as it looks. One thing that bugs me is the water necks. He performed the 59AB swap many years ago and built these water necks.
![]() What other options are out there for this car/engine combo that look closer to stock? I don't want chrome, and I don't want universal convoluted radiator hose, it's tacky. |

Check out the Gates No. 21253 hose. This should be what I'm running in my 1936 sedan. I've got a 59-style engine with the stock radiator.

Most the tubes are going to be chrome or stainless.

The rubber hoses will look much better I think. I think they'll flow better also.

Here's what I did a couple of years ago.
Two 180 degree silicon hoses and two pieces of 1-3/4" exhaust tubing. Did the trick and still on there now. ![]() If the Drake hoses cover the 33/34 application, I'd look at using those especially if I lived in the USA. Mart. |

Bob Drake hose kit, part # HR-8262-BK. For 33-34 cars with 1937 to 48 V8 engines fitted. $60.00 for kit with two moulded hoses. Regards, Kevin.

I just looked at the Drake kit. It comes with 4 hoses and 8 clamps etched with he Ford logo. For $60, I think that's the bargain I was looking for. Thanks for the input guys!

Do you have a picture of how you supported the front motor mounts of the 59AB on the 1934 crossmember?

2935..."Crinkle Tubes Unite!" I'm sensing some crinkle tube jealousy around here!

I agree, plus it it keeps his memory alive each time you tell the story about the pipes.
