Are there any 4 row radiators available for '30-1 cars?

Berg's, Walker, Brassworks could probably make one for you. Also contact Bratton's or Snyders and ask.
A good old time radiator shop could probably put a 4 row core in yours. Why?? Paul in CT |

4 row is typically for a AA truck and the radiator shell is deeper to accommodate the extra depth. A common Model A passenger car or pickup should cool just fine with the standard 3 row core.
If 3 row core ain't getting it done, your issue is probably a clogged block or restricted tubes in the existing 3 row radiator core. This might call for removing the upper and lower tanks and rodding the tubes. A can of radiator flush won't do the trick. |

Just looking for something to keep my tudor with A/C and OD cool when touring at speed in the southern states including Texas. I'm considering a Berg's 3 tube but wondering about 4 tubes that might fit if any are available.

Talk to Steve Becker at Bert's Model A. If I am not mistaken their recored heavy duty radiators are 4 rows. Reasonably priced by comparison.

I have tried to have 28/29 radiators re-cored to 4 row but so far none of them have had tanks that would carry the extra row.

If you want the best cooling capacity, get a VT modern core. They cool significantly better than the flat fin cores. They aren't right, but most people won't know. I have a 3 row VT core in my town sedan with AC, Overdrive & hopped up motor. It runs 175* in the middle of summer pulling a trailer. You won't regret the modern core.
