Another question. If i get power from the acc side of the switch for my e8902 when it is flipped up the pump will be pumping, is this ok as i will be still using the original pump?. Or do i need a toggle switch in line to cut it off when not needed ?. My mama used to say you ask to many questions. ( i still do ) at age 68.

I would put a toggle switch in line, I used a lighted toggle to alert me that the pump is on. I only use when starting and if vapor locked. My 37 is converted to 12 volt Zeke

I just ordered a DPDT center off momentary/maintained switch that I plan to have in line supplying power, though the ignition switch, to the 6V pump on my '37 and '50. That way I can prime the carb. for initial startup with momentary side of switch or have it run continuous, on the maintained side, in case of vapor lock situations. The switch can be had from Surpluscenter.com. It is item number 11-3279 and cost $3.20 + shipping. Shipping's a little steep so get a few friends together if you think it's a way to go. SPDT would work but I didn't see one, but I have a spare set of contacts if needed.

Help me understand? I have an electric 12v holly fuel pump only. If I put a mechanical pump in series will it pull through the electric pump shut off, if not how do I plumb around the electric pump shut off so I can use it for backup?

See post 29. Think it would be easier to change pumps.
