front fenders

thanks to all- do i understand what many are saying is that fender shapes changed within a years time and it is possible or even common to get the different curved fenders from right to left on the same car? i looked in mac's catalog and they only had one style of fender for all of 28 and 29, and another style for 30 and 31, so i had wondered if i got a 28 right and 31 left . it looks like mac's should offer early 28 and 28 late. thanks again
