Oil pressure relief valve
I've got 49 with a 49 8ba and all of a sudden the oil pressure gauge has started to fluctuate up and down. It doesn't move quickly it will slowly move from 60 down to 20 and back up again with the engine speed not changing. Where exactly is the oil pressure relief valve located? I read something about a valve in the lifter valley under the intake manifold but I always thought it was part of the oil pump. Thanks for any help.

Re: Oil pressure relief valve
It could be the sender or the gauge. Install a temporary mechanical gauge to confirm before tearing into the engine
