The splines on main shaft are machined like that. That 1st/rev slider gear is munted! I'd replace it, it has worn right thru the hardening. The pin holding the throwout fork will punch out from below; a bit awkward, but can be done. I normally replace it with a bolt and nut, easier to remove in the future.
