By pin release, do you mean the little pin that holds cylinder into the hole on a real Ford lock?? If so, from memory that becomes movable somewhere about 45 degrees from key just inserted and vertical. Get it to that area and adjust til you can easily depress the pin to insert, for removal adjust til you can depress it via the little access hole.

Thanks Bruce,I figured it out and got the cylinder installed.I thought it could be unlocked with key out until needed.Like 40cpe said ,I think is a real pain but I will give it a try.

I find it to be a pain myself. I do like the key grinding idea and may give that a shot.

The grind down key sounds like a great idea, will give it a try on my coupe.
