My '36 was converted to 12V by a previous owner which is great. I did find a Bosch 12 v motor. There is bound to be one that is 6V. Or, there are guys who can convert them.
The one that Drake sells is too long. There is one on eBay item number:155129809596. I think this is how mine started out. and this one, eBay item number:127586575953 If you dont want the one for $55, I have a friend who does. ps, dont waste your money on the Mighty Mite. It is not Mighty and it doesn't work. It has plastic gears. Too bad, if they had made it with metal gears and a stronger motor, it would be great.
