My wife's barn truck is a '34 pickup with a '53 Merc flathead. Stock except for headers, Mallory distributor, and Holly 350 four barrel carb. Runs great and quite strong. The big inch 59a in my '41 coupe has three carbs with progressive linkage. Runs great (finally), but a real pain to get the jets and linkage perfected.
For bragging rights, I would recommend the four barrel for your truck, but the Rochester 2GC is a very street friendly solution. |
