I used a SW temp only in the A, I felt loosing oil pressure was a rare occurrence and temp monitoring had the greatest value. I was trying to avoid dash clutter so I mounted the gauge on the drivers side kick panel and it looked natural.

Because you are in the colder part of the USA the upper neck with a thermostat mentioned in post #5 may be a consideration.
I had to take a second look at the gaudges , that looks very similar to my 36 pickup
