![]() The day it all started in June 2011. Just picked up the "barn" find and transported it to the shop I have received innumerable tips and great suggestions from many Barners I have never met in person but I am so grateful for havingc infeted with this incurable "flatties car loving" disease. It has been a fantastic time and sure will keep on going. So here it is, my first old Ford, a 33 Tudor Sedan with a model B engine, located in Paraguay, South America. ![]() Disassembly and metal work repair in progress. Everything removed. Pockets of rust found in usual places including a bit on one frame rail ![]() Frame patched with thick steel plates. Front and rear axle will come out shortly after ![]() Engine, transmission, brake, clutch, all original. VIN number on shiny spot on L rail ![]() Rear end. Everything there but in need of restoration ![]() Frame on primer ![]() Frame finished on glossy polyurethane black. No sandblasting available so everything repaired by hand. Lots of sanding went here! ![]() Repaired shell bolted to frame early on to assure good alignment. ![]() All body parts reassembled to fine tune alignment, finish priming and ready to paint ![]() Original grille before repair ![]() Grille ready waiting its turn to be mounted. Rechroming not top notch in this part of the world but decent ![]() Rear brakes with original style woven lining. Have Ted's energizer kit but will wait until we finish, adjust, etc and then place it ![]() All 5 17" wheels restored, on primer ![]() Front axle being rebuilt ![]() Rear axle being reassembled. Drums, springs, brakes all done Part 2 will follow shortly. Apparently there is a limit of 20 pictures that can be added to a post, so I will do it separately |
