Can't find my old thread on this.
Here's what happened: I installed a rebuilt engine
back in June 2011 and the car still had the same vibration
as with the old engine. I drove 75 miles this summer
with the new engine and could'nt go faster then 40 MPH
because of the vibration. I did'nt use the car from about
the 10th of October until last Saturday and the vibration was worse then before.
Today I took her out for the last drive of this year and the vibration was gone.
I got it up to 55 MPH with no problem,a little vibration when letting off the gas with it still in gear but not much. The only thing I can think of is the rear end oil was thick because of the cold weather the last couple of weeks,about 30 at night but, I drove her for an hour,the oil should of thinned out,right ? Any thoughts on this one ? Thanks to all, Dennis/CT
