Default 1962 falcon radio

Hi guys. I have a 62 falcon radio that I'll never use.Maybe someone here can. I would like to see if it works first, but I'm a little unsure of the wiring. It has two black wires on the drivers side. One is 6" long with a male bullet connector. The other is 26" long with a male spade connector. Where do these go? On the back side there is a bakalite plate 1 1/4" X 1/2" with 2 small holes. One being a little bigger than the other. What plugs into these? And, is the radio grounded through the case? I'm kinda anxious to see if it works. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
