1935-36 pickup cowl lacing
The cowl lacing that I bought measures 3/16 thick (same as used around the grill shell). The relief around the cowl varies from + 1/4” on the top to + 3/16 on the side. The deeper area causes the hood to set below the cowl in this area.
Visually it doesn’t look right. Ford must have had a reason or the original lacing was different than the repo product today. Any thoughts on this discrepancy?
