Default Model B rear axle

I got a 1934 Model 18 (european deuce) it was a stock 4 banger.
I am now running a flathead v8 with a 1939 transmission and the stock axle.
For lower rpm on highway speeds i want to change my rear end ratio.
Somewhere i read the internals of this axles are the same as Model A axles so i can use a model a gear set.
Can someone confirm this ? i cannot find much information about the european model B
