I was wondering is it possible to run a 12V pertronix ignition in my distrbutor with a 6volt postive grd system. I know it's half of 12V but even if it operated a 6v would it work? I have a 57 or later distributor in my car and the regulator system in pertronix is set up for a 55 distributor with the loadomatic distributor. I talked to one guy a long time ago and he said that the iginitor would just dish out what was going in. Does any of this make sense? Would the 12v just not accept the 6v my system would send to it? Just some winter dasy dreaming......Dave
