In Ohio, somewhere between Zanesville and Martinsburg, there is an old restored station that is now a dental office and is called the "Filling Station".

Richard, You got me searching my old photos for a picture of my Dad's car being serviced at a Citgo station in Brooklyn/Richmond Hill in 1942? Luckily it wasn't winter at the time. Things weren't much better out on Long Island in 1947. My sister and I watch a Big Texaco tanker refuel a sheltered (but no garage door) service station.

Isn't that some Brand X convert? Split windshield with stand alone headlights.

Like to see old stations and vehicles still exist on Colorado plains. Too bad they're just storage now......

Bruce, Yesterday we went to a cancer benefit for a fellow car nut and it was near this old gas station, so I took advantange of the situation. It was a beautiful day, the 39 ran like a champ, and the bbq chicken was excellent. Made it home before the rain hit, sometimes thing just work out, Chuck S.

My Dad's godfather owned this home and station in Avon Lake, OH. It changed to a Gulf station and remained basically unchanged and in the same family until about 15 years ago. When it finally was removed. Note the Coke-Cola air plane, in the early photo, became a Gulf sign.
