This is great John!…..Big fan of the Shoebox……with a ‘50 and a ‘51…a ‘49 would complete the set!…..I’m not familiar with older dealerships up the coast…..I do have some manuals and other literature from Ripley and Fletcher in So. Paris. I believe (not sure) that R & P started out with the “T”…..I have a couple of training sheets completed by Ford mechanics and some of the manuals have notes written by them. The old paperwork and dealer items are as interesting as the cars!…..Stay warm!……..Mark

Yes John, Keep it up. We're enjoying your history and Ford trivia, as well as Ford memorabilia.

Some more 50th anniversary stuff. Coaster on right is from a Ford dealership in Iowa. The one on the right is from a Lincoln Mercury dealership in Washington state. Ladies compact in the center.

Wallet from 1953. Has "Henry Ford II" on the inside. Only one I've seen.

1959 photo of our local Ford-Mercury dealership. They were in business 1907-1990. Building is still standing and is located about three blocks from us.

Mark,
Repair order on my grandfather's 1950 Ford. Needed generator brushes at 14,000 miles! Labor rate was cheap enough!

John,
We bought and traded several Ford cars and trucks at that home town dealership too. Brings back mostly good memories! We bought our 1979 Ford F100 supercab short bed 2 wheel drive off the small new car lot. A nice green on green truck for Cheryl to take the four kids out in. Maybe that's why I am looking at a similar one?? A story from another time for another day!
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Folks,
John brought Cindy over for a play day and she got new glasses! Fresh headlight buckets and some improvements for headlight adjustment. Pictures may be out of order.

Regards,
Chris

Chris-Cheryl-John…..The last post about that green pickup in the back ground that I saw……you were “looking” at it…..looks like it followed you home….Nice!!….I had a later F100 short box but, to many vehicles and it had to sleep outside so it moved on……Mark

Folks,
John continues to improve his cars with NOS parts and lots of love. He drove his nice 48 business coupe over yesterday. I have conned him in to helping me on the 66 F100 in the background also. These old Fords seem to keep us out of the bars and limit our chasing of wild women! Ok at least one of those. They also keep our wallets fresh.
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl
