the return shipping isnt worth being bothered. I have installed motorcycle tubes at times in my As with no real problem. On the other hand, bought a chinese tube for my Kubota and the seam gave out 2 months later.
when its cheap sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.......... whats painful is when you pay top dollar and you still lose. |

The lines on the outside often referred to as a seem are only where different parts of the mold join.

Old tubes make wonderful rubber bands. Slice them to different lengths for different purposes. I used an old bicycle tube to make bands to join three poles together to make a tripod for plants in the garden.

I have talked to SO many people who swear by the Coker Hartford tubes....Those will be what I will buy next time I need tubes ![]() I've been told by the tire guys at our local farm store that Chinese tubes are made from recycled scraps and garbage, made on the cheap, and are total junk. They said tubes coming out of Vietnam use 'virgin' rubber and are well made. Maybe that is where Coker is getting theirs? |

This is a lesson in buy once cry once. Every time I look to save money buying something cheaper that may get the job done I end up going back and buying the known product for a few dollars more than what I wasted trying to save a couple bucks - and that's before I add in the time lost........

If you do as I said in post 23 sometime, you will see that tubes have no seems. How could they and be expected to work?

It seems this seem in a tube is another hard to fix old wives tale.

I have sections of old inner tubes with slits cut into them to help seal around the floor gaps of the shifter, hand brake, and accelerator.

The Hartford tubes mentioned favourably in post 27 are Chinese - at least that's what they say on the box. I didn't think I would ever be doing this but the Chinese CAN make some good stuff. It is the fault of our buyers always chasing the cheapest price (and therefore quality) that is the problem. I can't fault them for trying to make as bigger profit as possible but there comes a point when they start to undermine themselves.

I was able to return them for a refund. I was going to order one from Snyder’s but they don’t tell you in advance what the shipping would be.

When you continue to checkout there are options for shipping. At that time, if you don't like the shipping cost, you can open the cart and remove everything that you put in there and then sign off.
