Which direction does the trunk seal face?

I am trying to figure out which way to install the weather seal on the trunk of my 50 ford.

As you can see they each face a different direction. Which one is correct? Thank you

Unless my eyes are fooling me both diagrams are the same re: trunk seal install. Flatside glued to tunk lid with curved tip pointing toward car exterior.

It appears to me that the first picture, the curved part points to the inside of the car and the second picture shows the curved part pointing to the outside of the car.

Yes, I think you are correct. My assertion appears incorrect. It would be great if someone could post a "real time" photo of how their seal is installed.

If not, cut off a small length of new seal and experiment to see which position seals and fits the best.

when i did mine i put it like the Dennis Carpenter diagram it never leaked
