Does the headlight bar install with rubber pads at each end or is that someone's idea of an improvement?
I assume if I put those things on there I'll have to shorten the headlight bar as I don't recall taking any off when I took it apart? |

Nope, the bar will be fine and the fenders and brackets will just relax back to normal. If the bar wants to argue us l o n g carriage bolts to pull it together close enough to switch to stock bolts. This info is based on a 1930 and should be the same for a 29.

The rubber pads are not an original Ford part.

It shouldn't say that. I'm guessing you saw something else.

The door handles have a black paper pad to protect the paint.

Thanks Tom, I have replaced the rubber pads on the 31 and they now match your specification... "nothing". Besides, it looks better than those ill fitting pads from Vintique. Next removal will be on the 30.

When I got my'29 coupe, it had a 1/8 inch RED rubber pad under the spare tire mount!! Nice fit. I just blacked it out with a Magic-Marker.
