Hi All,
I have a small rip in the roofing material of my car (about 4 inches). Any suggestions as to what to use to fix it? Another piece of material and glue it down? Mike

On a short rip I worked some black silicone under the material, put a little weight on and let it dry. It has held for several years.

I don't know if they are still around, but there used to be vinyl repair kits, and I've seen padded dashes and vinyl seats with tears get repaired, and I couldn't tell where the repair was.
