Default Shock link grease fitting

Last weekend I finally installed my new Stipe shock with along with new arms and new original style links --what a difference!! My question is why the original shock links do not have 2 grease fittings --1 for each ball joint... Has anyone ever added a 2nd fitting ?

As Tom said it works fine as designed.

When I install the links I pack the springs and spacers with grease. Then I place a good dab of grease on each back side of each of the cups which helps 'stick' them in position. By the time you snug up the plug they are pre-lubed with the cavity full. A slight pump of grease at a later date pushes the existing grease toward both balls.

Of course you can just grease the balls and cups during assembly and then pump the link full until you see a little come out from behind each of the seals.

Yeah with Mitch's advice, I pack the spacer, spring and either back sides of the cup bearings... as well as the inner lining of the link... in short, I package about as much grease as I could before finally assembly... I thinks it's good for a while...
