Most of the Model A parts suppliers sell wiring diagrams of the car's electrical system. They sell both for cars with and cars without cowl light. Hope this helps.

I have an unrestored 1931 40B deluxe Roadster and found that the cowl light lead was routed down the inside of the left cowl, through a gap in the firewall / cowl panel joint at the left "foot" and forward along the top inside edge of the frame, over the steering gear box to the special connector which connects to the lead from the light switch. My only area of doubt was a question of routing the wire over or under the gear box. Gar Williams

The pictures are of how I routed the cowl light wires in my "beater" '29 Briggs 155B Town Sedan. The second wire in the pictures of the inside firewall is the wiper wire. I would be very interested to hear from others as to the "correctness" of the routing. Gar Williams
