Re: Cowl Light Wiring Most of the Model A parts suppliers sell wiring diagrams of the car's electrical system. They sell both for cars with and cars without cowl light. Hope this helps.

Re: Cowl Light Wiring I have an unrestored 1931 40B deluxe Roadster and found that the cowl light lead was routed down the inside of the left cowl, through a gap in the firewall / cowl panel joint at the left "foot" and forward along the top inside edge of the frame, over the steering gear box to the special connector which connects to the lead from the light switch. My only area of doubt was a question of routing the wire over or under the gear box. Gar Williams

Re: Cowl Light Wiring 4 Attachment(s)
The pictures are of how I routed the cowl light wires in my "beater" '29 Briggs 155B Town Sedan. The second wire in the pictures of the inside firewall is the wiper wire. I would be very interested to hear from others as to the "correctness" of the routing. Gar Williams

Re: Cowl Light Wiring Thanks to Raprice for the response but that was not what I was looking for. I would like to thank Aeorcraft for your response and the PICTURES. My old wiring is routed pretty much like yours except for the second picture you sent in that my wire comes out of the body and goes to the rear behind the left motor mount and then foward and attached on the bottom part of the frame.
Thanks again for the response and pictures. Joe Grobleski Cape Cod |
