Is this an old SOS pad that you used to stick up in the oil filler cap?

Also, I have another question for those who proposed the flexible vent pipe and cap. Do any of you use this with engine pans? How do you route the flexible pipe? Any rattles?

I visit this forum every day and it never ceases to amaze me how much I learn about the "A". Thanks to everyone for their contiued input and knowledge.

I ran mine down that square hole in the stock engine mount and clamped with supplied clamp to the steering column. But car never had any engine pans and it is a driver so I never noticed any extra rattles!
