Poor ground or no ground on everything,
double up on engine to frame/firewall, more the once, two three times, can't hurt?? .... A bit of a reach but it sounds like the points are caring the ground for your turn signals ??
Take a jumper wire and ground the turn sig. light base itself, watch the flashing change speed?? .... OLD.....BILL
