Hello, thanks for the measurements. I actually mimicked the tar texture, to a degree, using some textured 'grain' paint. Using actual tar is a bit beyond what I would want to do, especially when you can mimic it.

As for the gold, I actually tried it with a rubber hobby roller, funny enough, and it looked terrible! So I switched to the spray paint after that.
