Warbirdphotog, your mentioning a possible redo of the cell tops due to a suggestion that they were too tall. I'll refer you to my post #20 from last year on how I made my Ford LF: I used 1/16" ABS for the battery top, with 3/16" ABS on top of that for the cells. This makes the total thickness exactly ¼", which provided the needed additional space for the terminals. If you decide to do a remake, consider also using actual tar on the cell surrounds for authenticity? One more tip, the gold paint is easily applied with a rubber hobby roller.
