Please note. There are 3 different types of filtering systems. It looks to me that you are using the 90% system as in JM 35 SEDAN's digram, but instead of using the REQUIRED full flow oil filter, you are trying to use a bypass filter. Please recheck the diagram an follow it exactly, any deviation or shortcut will end in tears!
The bypass filter that you have requires NO plug in the internal oil gallery, a 0.060" restrictor between the block and the filter and the oil returned to the sump NOT the downstream oil gallery.
