I am excited to try the ball hone with waterless hand cleaner routine. I have only used a 3 stone hone in the past. Is the 3 1/4" size the best size overall for flathead V8 work? Here's my ring set and maybe I can answer some questions if needed.

That is a 3 piece oil ring set.The "blue" wrapper is 3 piece oil ring. One flex vent with 2 rails, and also a 1 piece oil ring in the other wrapper look at the picture. That is a set with 2 oil ring packs in it.The correct set The hand cleaner works well. You can e mail the plant with the date code as it is on the end of the box and they will tell you the production date.
