Yeah, I'm more concerned with how to remove the entire assembly. I have the rubber seals for replacement, I just didn't know how to get the whole thing out.

As of now, my battery POS cable goes to the block. I have a ground cable from block to frame on driver's side and from the back of the block to the firewall.

One of the replies here mentioned getting an 850 CCA battery. I have no idea where to find such an animal around here.

As for the battery, a full charge may or may not crank it. It's a craps...

When it starts, it's smooth and quiet. If it doesn't start, I hit the button again and it sounds like the battery is almost dead. All my grounds are clean and tight.

I changed the right bank sensor ... no surprise here, but it was (I believe) an original .... temp gauge doesn't rush to the hot side, thermal shows head temps @ 160* + - .... right bank a few...

After reading your comment about the sensors, I gave myself a good old fashioned "dog cussin" for not paying attention to my own engine ..... never thought about the second sensor on the right bank...

Well, Hiram, I've never considered myself a mechanic (of vehicles) and my knowledge is mostly trial and error .... but I do believe the flathead to be a different animal altogether. LMAO !!!!!
