Page 43 of the V-8 Club's '40-'41 pickup book has the full details on the sliding rear window. There were two types and the windows carried through the '47 year.

Re: Ballast resistor for 12V coil
Chevrolet used ballast resistors for years on their ignitions. You might check to see what the ohm readings are for those resistors.

Tim, my first early V-8 in 1974 was one just like that 33. Same color with the original upholstery. Brought back a lot of memories. Those old "moredoors" are the best touring cars.

I could be wrong, but that doesn't look like a Ford mirror to me. Never saw a Ford mirror with woodgrain paint.
