I seriously doubt that you could hit the head with a piston with anywhere near the force of a power stroke no matter how fast and hard you turned it over.

Hmmm, that's odd. 97's seldom have power valve problems; they are much more common with 94's. You know what they say about ASSUME.

It should be pretty simple. Just find the resistance of your coil in (ohms) as well as the resistance of the actual resistor. Add them together and run them through a version of the formula I posted...
