I think that 100# may slightly expand a rubber hose but it is still 100#. Not reduced. JMHO

Trying to identify if this truck is a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. 3 speed on the floor and tires (if original size) are 650-16.
Does the serial number help? 799c1420533
Chassis and springs look very heavy...

I agree to call Phil and discuss your situation with him. He can certainly cut a key from the door cylinder but a worn ignition cylinder could be the problem.

Call your Fastenal store and ask about it. If it is just the rearend you can strap it on a pallet and they will ship it to there nearest store to the receiver.

So you are grinding the seats to set the tappet clearance? If the seats are good why not butt grind the valve stems?
Maybe I am missing something which is common for me.

Well, who cares about a few minutes of accuracy. If you are out on a ride in your old Ford just enjoy the ride and don't worry about what the exact time it is.
