Be cautious about order repro door handles and window cranks
I ordered several window cranks and I needed a milling machine to dress the parts to fit, so I trashed them and found real antique parts...

my negative battery cable is so thick you can't bend it. almost an inch thick.

Thanks. I will try a brand new battery...Maybe the old batteries just don't have enough anymore. If I wasn't getting false full charge indicators, I would have bought a new batter before trying...

Years before I bought the optima red top battery I bought Ford logo batteries NiCad from Macs. These only lasted one year. I assume they were more in line with the standard nicad auto batteries....

I have been having a lot of engine problems beginnng with my starter which I had to replace and now trying to get the spark to just between points. Maybe this was a low battery problem?

I think it evaporates, anyway this gas gauge is hokey at best.
10 years ago I purchased a new fuel line from Ray Nachize Spelling incorrect. But the fuel line was perfect, installed it and installed...

can't get the spark to jump between the points.
With a screw driver present there is a spark at one side of the points but without the screwdriver there is no spark at all.
