Re: Pondering trying to sell my 36 pick up
I'm going to agree. Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace can both be searched nationwide by anyone with modest computer skills -- and any guy in the hunt for a specific vehicle will have alerts set up...

Re: Don't you just love the USPS
I've had the same carrier here in Santa Cruz, CA for years. He always takes a moment to stop and chat about projects in the shop. When he was on vacation a small package was supposedly delivered, and...

Re: 36 five window interior panels
I used clear heavy plastic over the door and a Sharpie to outline the size and locate all the mounting and window crank holes, tabs etc. I then transferred that to thin Luan plywood (make sure the...

Topped off trans -- now synchros are glitchy
My '35 coupe has a '39 trans and a '40 banjo, both newly rebuilt. I've put somewhere between 50 and 100 miles on the car. Today I climbed underneath and topped off the trans. I'm running Lubriplate...

Re: wide five lug nut torque and direction
Thanks. Tires are Stahl Excelsior: 5.50-16 and 7.00-16. They have a tallish profile like bias-plys. The wheels are stock Ford Wide-Fives in front and Ford accessory "Farm Implement" wheels in back....

Hushmat is another option, equivalent to Dynamat. A little cheaper and no logos printed on it.

Yes, he did, and the new owner has been just as great to work with. His new, smaller panel is ideal for us guys that don't run power windows, A/C, etc etc

Re: Lacy's parts in CA ??? Trouble reaching ??
Their products are well-designed, beautifully-crafted, and the support lit is spot-on. I've never had an issue with Dennis not getting back, often within the hour. Try DM'ing him, it's not always...

Re: Painless wiring kits
I've used American Autowire panels on a few cars, as mentioned above you only hook up what you need. There are no leftovers hardwired into your fuse block. The cleanest option is to do your own...

Re: Early '35 Door Pull Hardware Color?
Add-on Question: those conical springs behind the door panels; do BOTH the door handle and window crank get these springs? My car had only one spring behind the passenger side window crank.

Forgive me for not getting right back, we’ve had some weather issues here. I’ll try to get in and see which of the bumper styles this would take — if either. It’s not obvious from just looking into...
