Re: Model A's up for auction in North Dakota

I grew up there. Living in Houston area the last 30 years it's hard to believe how different it really is.

Re: 1929 Murray Town Sedan Front Seat

I think they are just a single track bolted to the seat riser on each side. At least that's what I recall looking at my brother's 31 Murray while the seat was out.

I'll try to get a pic down...

Re: A Rivetting Paint Problem

I would bc/cc it. If the painter can lay the clear out slick in a clean environment then it would not need to be buffed. That painter is going to be tough to find.

I think the big work would be in...

Rebuilt my first Zenith carb yesterday.

I've been working on cars for 31 years at the dealership level. Rebuilt many carbs and work with some really sophisticated technology.

I have to admit that I was a little intimidated by this carb....

Re: 1931 slant window town sedan front seat backrest

Just checked in the garage. I do in fact have the instructions for your car. Complete with production date and production numbers which I'm sure will come in handy in the event you need something...

Mr. Bill......nice touch!

I would think you could download them from Macs but have been unsuccessful in finding them.

I did run across a beat up set in the box of papers I brought home. They...

Re: Color question

I need to scrape some paint off the firewall to be able to tell the production date. The motor number 14333xx dates it April of 29 if I recall correctly. The car was sold May 22 1929.

He purchased...

Re: Color question

I get what you're saying. I'm struggling a bit with how to go about this. On one hand I feel I should leave it as is and unfinished. On the other I know that he would have been disappointed the paint...

Re: Color question

I found some pictures he had sent me when he first got the car.

I'm trying to figure out what the original colors were on my 29 155-A sedan.

Dad painted it Vagabond/Rock Moss on the outside. The Rock Moss is obviously not dark enough as the two colors are very...

Re: Another Model A noob

Thanks to everyone for their condolences.

Since I...
