i am getting ready change the oil in my old toro. it has a rather large oil pan plug.will the oil-pump fall out if i take it out? i don't need any supersizes.

i just discovered something. i spread out the field coils in a flat line and applied 6 volts to the coils. then took my compass and checked the polarity on each coli and all checked north. here comes...

yes i did clean the varnish from the magnet wire before i soldered them together. could there be that i am missing a wire connected to the field terminal to the battery post at the commentator brush...
