Re: Puttin a key in the drivers door
Are you just wanting to be able to lock or un lock the drivers side door ? If so , I would recommend using a remote electric locking solenoid . Way less work.

Re: 50/50 mixture of Acetone and ATF
I have always stored my mix in a plastic oil container. I have never had issues with the plastic melting. I keep the cap sealed as to no acetone evaporates. The concoction works great.

I just made the move from Alaska to Nevada . Had to purge a lot of stuff to down size to a reasonable amount. It was still a lot of stuff to relocate. I am a bit younger than most on here , but with...

Re: Screw dropped into radiator
I would think the screw will hang up in one of the passages. The washers on the other
hand may cause a problem in the future .

Re: V8 Sitting 18 years, won't turn over

Way less of a chance of braking of bolts in the block.
Thank you for a second opinion.

Re: V8 Sitting 18 years, won't turn over
I am experiencing the same issue. Soaked the engine in 50/50 ATF and Acetone for a few years . Verified that the clutch is not stuck. Rocked the truck back and forth many many times and still stuck....

I typically run 55-60 tops in my older vehicles. Remembering that back in the day they were geared for then 55 highway speeds .
