Re: Old brazed repairs on a 21 stud

Re: Old brazed repairs on a 21 stud

It's a 35 or 36 block, babbitt bearings not inserts. I'll probably have a little bit of test done on it, I always hate to throw a block away if it can be saved, Ford's not making them anymore, right?

Mystery Crank Pulley

I had to buy two pulleys to get the one that I needed, wouldn't separate. The seller did not know the origin of the mystery pulley, please let me know if you recognize it, thanks!

Clutch disk question

Soo I got the motor and trans separated, it appears to me to be a 36-39 gearset. I quickly put a tape measure on the disk as I was turning out the lights and I'm pretty sure it's 9" or so. who's the...

Re: Remove Trans from 21 stud 36 flattie

Got it, pilot bearing was stuck, had to unbolt clutch basket through inspection plate and then it came apart easy. That bearing is really, really stuck on the end of that input shaft.
The bearing is...

Re: Mystery Crank Pulley

The crank snout is certainly bigger. The seller said he thought maybe it was a Mercury but I don't know. The wiper groove should be a big tell.

Ford 1935 - 1940 Open Car Door Latch

An eBay vendor mislabeled a part and sent me a open car door latch instead of a 1937 trunk latch. My bad for not paying more attention.

Any idea of the value to list it at? It seems to work fine...

Re: T5 advice

Good info all, thanks! The various T5 threads out there have great info, it’s a firehose though. So it’s good to get zero’d in with the fellow flatties who have the specific knowledge.

Hi,

Will a 1938 Ford hood ornament fit and function properly as a hood latch on a 1937 hood?

Thanks!
