thanks, distributor has vac and mech advance , does not require A resister ,tried A mallory distributor before the pertronix, sent the mallory back to speedway same problem. Using A pertronix flame...

engine stumbles under load
just got finished converting my 53 f-100 to 12 volts , new distributor ,pertronix , new coil ,new wires ,plugs , truck starts right up and will idle fine bring RPMS up to 1500 engine starts to run...

pertronix distributor
Changed my 53 f-100 to twelve volts , also bought A pertronix distributor. , with the new distributor will the vacuum line go to the carb like the loadamatic, or to manifold vacuum? thank you

6 volt alternator
6 volt pos ground alternator, 6 volt optima red top battery, 6 volt coil,6volt solenoid, all approx three years old ,good condition , removed from my 53 f-100 ,going to 12volt.

I am running A 53 f-100 merc flathead with an S-10 trans 3.76 first gear ,and A nine inch 59 f-100rear with 3.50 gears ,It is A great driver ,I drive it all the time no issues .

I installed A S-10 five speed in my 53 f-100 with A mercury flathead , 60 mph 1800 rpm, I also installed A 9"rear from A 59 f-100 with 350.1 gears , I kept the original bellhousing,

1967 ford fairlane/steering box
Anyone have tips on changing out the steering box on A fairlane 66/67 it is the type with the long shaft not the rag joint type , looks like it is going to be A pain, thanks
